Playaway Day

Tuesday, June 21, 2016 - 1:00pm
Playaways—self-playing, pre-loaded digital audiobooks—are one of our most popular items. And because we think they’re so wonderful, we’re dedicating a day to show them off! Playaways are completely portable and a great way to listen to audiobooks while doing something else like walking, working out or gardening! Stop by on Playaway Day to learn more and enter to win some cool prizes.

"The Rithmatist" Melee

Thursday, May 12, 2016 - 7:15pm to 8:15pm
If you think you have what it takes to wield chalk magic against the Wild Chalklings, come to our melee! Join the melee and use battle formations from the book and your own imagination to win it all! Following the battle we will be drawing Wild Chalklings and picking our favorites. You might even see them on Facebook! All participants must have read "The Rithmatist" by Brandon Sanderson before the program in order to attend. See Rachel, Children's Librarian, or Tegan, Young Adult Associate, with questions.

Design Your Own Board Game!

Thursday, August 18, 2016 - 6:00pm to 7:15pm
There’s nothing boring about this game. Why? Because you designed it! Think about it—your own board game that involves your friends, favorite cartoon characters, or even characters that you made up. There’s no end to the possibilities, and no end to the game either—if that’s the way you decide to design it!
