Teen Program

How to Write a Poem by Tania Runyan

Sunday, April 24, 2016 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Many of us collect hundreds of notes in our folders and computers but don't know how to turn those jottings into drafts. In this hands-on workshop, we will practice effective strategies for brainstorming and bridging from the free write to the first poetic draft. How do we generate ideas, find the "hidden gems" in our notes, and structure those gems into poems? How do we break into lines, fill in gaps of continuity and incorporate more sensory language--in other words, begin defining a "poem?" This program intended for teens and adults. Registration is limited and required.

Sunday, July 31, 2016 - 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Current session TAB members meet to discuss program planning.
