Spring Flowers: A Painting Workshop

Sunday, March 15, 2015 - 1:30pm to 3:00pm
This workshop is now full. Please register for the 3:30 session. Welcome spring with this hands-on painting workshop.
We’ll sketch flowers from photo reference then add color with
water color pencils. Christine will teach the basics: how to draw
from observation as well as wet on wet and dry brush painting
techniques. Beginner teens and adults welcome! These workshops fill quickly. Register early to secure your spot!

Over three months, we will make three main meals, three snacks, and three desserts. This program is part demonstration, mostly hands on, and totally fun! Registration is required and is limited to 20 participants. Registration is required for each session.

Have you ever dreamed of being the next Michelangelo? Here's the place to start. Armed with a pad and a charcoal stick, our resident artist will begin at the beginning and get you started. How far you go from there is up to you! This is a basic class, but all teens are welcome.

Glass Etching

Sunday, February 8, 2015 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm
This class is now full. Sorry for any inconvenience. Have you ever thought of glass etching? If so, do we have a project for you-just in time for Valentine’s Day! All supplies are provided, but registration is required. If you are allergic to latex, please let us know when registering. All ages are welcome, but if you are younger that 6th grade, you need to have a parent accompany you. I am sorry this class has now reached capacity.

Read to Give Read In/Popcorn Taste-Off

Beginning January 1, you can read to make a difference. For every hour you read, LVDL will contribute $1 (up to $5) to First Book, a nonprofit organization that connects book publishers and community organizations to provide access to new books for children in need. Ready to do more? Keep reading and if your total makes our Teen Top Ten, the library will donate $10!
