Mocking Jay Party

Thursday, November 20, 2014 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Get ready for the movie premiere by attending our bash. We will have four rounds of Jeopardy, a trivia contest, and competitions that are on either on your own, completed with a friend, or won in a large group. And of course, we will have the cornucopia run and the archery contests again. There will be prizes and refreshments. Registration required.

Scary Treats

Brains in a Jar? Melted Witches? Creepy Eyeball Truffles? Need we say more? This program is part demonstration, mostly hands on, and totally fun! Registration is required and is limited to 20 participants.

Middle School Book Club

Russell Culver is fifteen in 1904, and he's raring to leave his tiny Indiana farm town for the endless sky of the Dakotas. To him, school has been nothing but a chain holding him back from his dreams. Maybe now that his teacher has passed on, they'll shut the school down entirely and leave him free to roam. No such luck.

Zombie Make up

Who's the toughest? Solid Snake? Wario? Diddy Kong? Maybe this will be the night when we will find out for sure.Now with a longer session and twice as many remotes, and refreshments and other games to play between competitions, this is place to be! This program is limited to twenty participants so signup early.

Cartooning in the Digital Age

In this two-hour program, veteran cartoonist Bill Barnes (Unshelved, Not Invented Here) will show you how to make comic strips, publish them on the web, and maybe make some money too!

Writers Café

Join our very own teen workshop, where we offer each other encouragement, inspiration and support on our writing projects. In August we will finish our summer long Super Hero pursuits, and in September we’ll try our hand at realistic/unrealistic fiction.
