Book sales are our primary source of revenue, so we love receiving donated books. We’ve received some incredible donations in the past year. Thank you!
We do ask that you please limit your donations to clean, gently used books that haven’t been exposed to moisture, and please refrain from donating outdated encyclopedias, textbooks and hardcover Reader’s Digest books. Please see our Donation Guidelines for more detail.
Smaller book donations can be put in the drop-off slot to the left of the lobby book shelves. Boxes of books can be brought to Receiving, around the left side of the building. Contact the library prior to arriving with large donations so that someone can meet you.
Charitable donation receipts are available at the Circulation Desk.
Those looking for a place to recycle books that we can’t accept can check out Book Rescue https://www.scarce.org/book-rescue/.
