Lunchtime@the Library --- Madam President: The Secret Presidency of Edith Wilson

Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - 11:30am to 1:00pm
Bring your lunch! We provide the guest speaker, coffee and dessert!
After President Woodrow Wilson suffered a paralyzing stroke in the fall of 1919, his wife, First Lady Edith Wilson, began to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of the Executive Office. William Hazelgrove’s book paints a vivid and engaging portrait of the woman who became the acting President of the United States just months before women officially won the right to vote. Book sale and signing will follow the program.
