But Ember's once powerful generator is failing ... and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. This movie is rate PG and is open to all patrons. High School Book Club: Paper Towns

Junior Hands-On Science: Light & Sound, 12pm

Friday, May 22, 2015 - 12:00pm to 12:45pm
Rockford’s renowned Discovery Center Museum is back with a hands-on program for scientists ages 3-K! Work with your child to make a color viewer, experiment with shapes and shadows, and invent a sound maker for loud and soft, high and low. Register your child in person, by phone or online starting April 1; choose one of the three session times offered. Please note, a parent/guardian is required to attend the program with the child.

An Evening with Fab Four FAQ: The Beatles Performing Years 1957-1966

Thursday, April 16, 2015 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
This presentation traces the origins of the group, from their skiffle days as The Quarry Men through the decision to cease touring in 1966, amidst great controversies as the segued into becoming a studio act. The mini-documentary (50 minutes) included rare photos, interviews, concert segments and promos - as well as an audio recording made of the Quarry Men on the very day that John and Paul were introduced.

Teen Cooking

Monday, April 20, 2015 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm
For Part 3 of our Teen Cooking program, we will make one more main meal, snack, and desert. This program is part demonstration, mostly hands on, and totally fun! Registration is required and is limited to 20 participants. Registration is required for each session.
