The Queen of France comes to visit Lake Villa District Library to talk about her life, loves, and intrigues. History comes to life in the character of Marie Antoinette who engages the audience with a costumed first person narrative for an interactive presentation. Dramatist Martina Mathisen will reveal the truth behind this very much misunderstood queen, from a teen bride enveloped in pure opulence to the most hated woman in France. What actually happened? Shall she live or shall she die? This time you will decide her fate.

Podcasting is full of exciting possibilities, and, luckily, anyone can start one. This presentation will cover how to listen to podcasts and how to create your own - including equipment you will need, resources, and tips for producing great content.

The Fundamentals of Legacy Writing

In this fun, interactive, workshop you will learn craft techniques to make your personal stories read like page-turning fiction and also respect the people you love. Author and writing coach Sara Connell will take you through writing prompts to outline a beginning, middle and end of your story and you’ll take home additional resources to keep your writing going.
