The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) gives teens a powerful role at the library in shaping the programs and services we offer. TAB is a fantastic opportunity to become more involved in the library and the community. By serving a number of volunteer hours per semester and providing a voice in LVDL's young adult library programing, TAB participation fulfills most National Honor Society service hour requirements, and looks great on a job or college resume.
Tab Membership is NOT a year-long commitment. There are three opportunities to serve: Spring, Summer, and Fall. During each term, TAB members are required to attend the monthly meeting to help brinstorm program ideas, and are encouraged to attend regular teen programs. Volunteer hours are awarded for attending meetings, programs, and helping clean-up after programs.
If you are interested in becoming a member of TAB, call Dustin Smaby at 847-356-7711 extension 5156 for more info.
TAB meetings are monthly, and count towards volunteer service hours.
Pizza, snacks and drinks are supplied at each meeting.
