The Friends of Lake Villa District Library actively raise awareness of the library in the community and provide financial support through their memberships and book sales. The Friends provide supplemental funding for library equipment, programs, special events, as well as contributions to various community agencies. Friends of Lake Villa District Library Scholarship
The Friends of Lake Villa District Library will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships to two
qualifying high school seniors graduating in 2021.
- Current resident of Lake Villa Township.
- Graduating high school senior in 2021.
- After 2021 graduation, student plans to pursue a two or four degree at any accredited college,
- university, junior college or vocational school.
How to Apply:
Scholarship applications are available here and/or with your Guidance Counselor at your high school. Application deadline is Thursday, April 1, 2021.

The Friends of LVDL accept donations of new or gently used books, current magazines, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks. Kindly place donations in the bin located in the Friends Book Nook. See library staff if you need a receipt.
Encyclopedias, textbooks or VHS tapes are not accepted. For large donations, we recommend Goodwill located at 2051 N. Route 83 in Round Lake Beach.
