Parent/Teacher Workshop: Comics in the Classroom

Tuesday, February 20, 2018 - 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Parents and teachers--are you curious about comics? Come learn how comics help different learners and how they meet educational standards. We'll share lots of great titles, too! We've added an extra thirty minutes to unpack these concepts and booktalk some great comics and graphic novels. If you can only come for the first hour, we'd still love to see you! Illinois K-12 educators will receive 1.5 CPDUs for participating in this workshop. Please register.

Book Club Boot Camp

Has your book club gotten boring? Send it to boot camp! Join library staff to learn about which books make good discussions, resources the library offers, plus tips and techniques that have worked for other clubs. Refreshments will be served.
