Family Listeners

Monday, June 2, 2014 - 10:30am to 11:00am
This program is intended for families with multiple children between the ages of 3 months through 36 months. We will share fingerplays, books, flannelboard stories, and other language building activities. Registration will begin April 1; please contact Youth Services.

Teen Improv

Monday, April 28, 2014 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Join us for a fast-paced, riotously funny workshop with members of Lakes' spring improv and sketch comedy showcase, "Hey! Who Turned Off the Lights?!" You'll learn how to strengthen your teamwork, confidence and spontaneity as you improvise with some of Lakes' funniest performers.

The Bully Plays

This year, the Studio Theatre class will be presenting The Bully Plays. This is a collection of short (5-10 minute) plays that relate to ideas of bullying. It is an intriguing, provocative collection of plays that is making its way across the country. It is geared for high school students and their families.

Manga Drawing

Sunday, April 6, 2014 - 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Learn the basics of drawing Manga faces: eyes, nose, mouth, face shape and hair for both males and females. We'll also learn how to draw faces from different angles and showing a variety of expressions.

Nostalgia Night

Thursday, May 22, 2014 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Join us for a rip-roaring time playing the games we played when we were young. Board games, social games, video games and more. Bring a friend and you're sure to have a good time.

Readers Advisory for Teens

This is a new group at the library. We meet once a month to talk about what we are reading and what the library should have more of. You should consider coming if you like to read (at least one book per month) like to talk or write about books, and enjoy the opportunity to make changes.
