Junior Hands-On Science: Buildings & Structures, 1pm

Saturday, May 14, 2016 - 1:00pm to 1:45pm
Rockford’s renowned Discovery Center Museum is back with a hands-on program just for scientists ages 3-K! Work with your child to build a giant tower, span distance with a bridge, and experiment with shape, structure and balance! Register your child in person, by phone or online starting April 1; choose one of the three session times offered. Please note, a parent/guardian is required to attend the program with the child.

Hundreds of books will be offered at bargain prices. A great selection of all genres for all interests. Stock up on good reads! Teachers with ID will receive a 10% discount on their purchases.

Join us for a bilingual celebration entirely created and performed by Lakes Theatre Students. This English/Spanish bilingual play uses the wisdom tales of the Mexican culture to give hope to a family faced with too much reality. Young Pedro and his family make their home in a barn on the Mexican border. Pedro complains of having nothing and brings his mother many headaches. On one occastion, she invites a hungry woman to share the family dinner.
