Thanks to generous donations from our library and our patrons, we're offering a large selection of hardcover and paperback novels, gently used children’s books, DVDs, music CDs and much more.
Hundreds of books will be offered at bargain prices. A great selection of all genres for all interests. Stock up on good reads! Teachers with ID will receive a 10% discount on their purchases.

Teen Duct Tape

If you choose,after the program, enter your project in the first LVDL Duct Tape Exhibit to win additional duct tape! Registration required.Please register for only one session. Cake Decorating

Who wouldn't love to be Cake Boss for a day? Let's hope for a little less drama as we learn different methods of cake decorating. Delicious take-home treats are guaranteed! All supplies will be provided. Registration is required.

Sharktastic Friday!

Help us kick off our science-themed summer reading program by exploring some marine biology! First, meet Deanna LaSusa-Hotchner, a volunteer interpreter and diver at John G. Shedd Aquarium. She’ll show us “Toothless,” her life-sized great white shark model made out of recycled plastics, and share fascinating facts about these magnificent animals. Edison: The Wizard of Menlo Park

In this musical by Face to Face Productions, we’ll join the Spark of Inspiration and journey through the life and inventions of the Wizard of Menlo Park. Best suited for school-age audiences. Beginning Yoga

Wednesday, May 21, 2014 - 10:00am to 11:00am
Yoga is about connecting your body with your brain and your breath. These alignment-based classes will teach you how to move mindfully no matter what your experience level. Bring a large towel or two and a mat, and any other props such as blocks and straps that you have. Chairs will be available for those who cannot get down on the floor. What a great way to start the day!Classes taught by Allison Wilmes, soma yoga therapist and teacher.
