Lunchtime @the Library---Keeping the Wolf from the Door

Wednesday, February 11, 2015 - 11:30am to 1:45pm
Bring your lunch! We provide the guest speaker, beverage and dessert.

In trying times, a bit of folk wisdom can only help. This talk, accompanied by a lively slide presentation, looks at the origins of colorful, age-old folk sayings that are part of our everyday language. If you need to keep the wolf from the door, let the cat out of the bag, or strike while the iron is hot, then take the bull by the horns and enjoy this presentation given by author Barbara Gregorich.
