Lake Villa District Library Foundation

The Lake Villa District Library Foundation facilitates charitable giving to Lake Villa District Library. There are four methods available to contribute to the LVDL Foundation:

The Book Nook

The Book Nook is an area of gently used books, magazines, DVDs and CDs, which are available for a suggested donation. Those interested in donating items to The Book Nook, please note encyclopedias, textbooks and Reader’s Digest Condensed Books are not accepted.  Items not added are given to Better World Books.

For information on donating items to The Book Nook, please call 847.356.7711.

The Annual Community Event - Grapes & Growlers: A Night at the Library

Grapes & Growlers: A Night at the Library is The Annual Community Event. It’s a fun evening out and
an excellent opportunity to support the library.  Sponsorships are available at various levels and are publicized upon the announcement of the event.  Proceeds fund the library’s annual summer reading program.

For information on Grapes & Growlers: A Night at the Library, contact Mick Jacobsen at 847.245.5100.

The Legacy Tribute and Collection Endowment

The Legacy Tribute is an opportunity to recognize a person or group of people with the purchase of specific library material or a collection of materials. The recognition can be in memory of a loved one or for a specific achievement or accomplishment.

The Collection Endowment provides means for the expansion of the library’s collection. An endowment is established with a minimum of $500 for a special collection. Every year after, 5% of the endowment’s value is used to purchase materials for that collection. All library collections are eligible for endowment or a general endowment can be established.

Both the Legacy Tribute and Collection Endowment materials include a bookplate to identify the individual or group being recognized, the reason for the recognition and the name of the individual or group who made the donation.

Thank you for supporting the LVDL Foundation.
