The Library Board, the district’s governing authority, meets monthly to make decisions about library services, policies, finances, and related business. The full terms of those elected is four years. For detailed information on the responsibilities of the board, access the Bylaws. Board meetings are typically held the second Monday of the month at 6pm in the library’s administrative conference room at 140 N. Munn Rd., Lindenhurst, IL 60046. Any changes to scheduled meetings will be posted here as well as at the library. Agendas are posted no later than 48 hours prior to the meeting. Approved minutes are posted after they have been approved, typically at the next Board meeting.

- Total Compensation - Public Act 97-609
Illinois Public Act 97-0609 is an amendment to the Open Meetings Act that requires employers participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to post the total compensation package for each employee having a total compensation that is expected to exceed $75,000 per year. Total compensation means payment by the employer to the employee for salary, bonuses, health insurance, as well as any loans and housing, vehicle and clothing allowances. It also includes vacation days granted and sick days granted.
